You're a Goal Reaching Machine

In the process of doing our mid year reviews here at work.
Yeah, I know, why bother as the mid year has already passed.
But upper management says we must go through the process.
So if they say, we must do. Like cattle to the slaughter. It’s
amazing as we didn’t even get to set objectives for the mid
year until a few weeks ago. So what kind of mid year review
is that?

Am I the only one that sees this as an exercise in futility?

But I’m reminded of my own goal setting and the need to
reflect on those goals. You need to keep a clear and focus
mind when setting and reviewing any goal you have for
yourself. The best way to keep your mind clear and focused
is to get a good night sleep. That’s the fact Jack!

Hey, it’s time you do a little mid year review of your own.

I promise this will not be an exercise in futility. We can
all agree that the time we take for ourselves to reflect on the
goals we have set, especially when it comes to our health,
clearly is not wasted time.

So let’s look back and all the while think about your sleep
habits. Have you been affording yourself the best chance
everyday to plow through your goals? Or have you lost
precious time because you have not slept well and found
yourself under productive.

You’d be amazed at the health risks associated with sleep
deprivation. Folks, it’s time to realize the stress you are
putting on yourself if you’re not getting a good 8 hours of
sleep at night. To read more about the effects of sleep
deprivation go here.

Now if you are interested in ending your sleepless nights
be sure to pick up a copy of my new book
“3 Secrets To Sound Sleep” and start sleeping the way you
were born to do.

And don’t be so hard on yourself if you haven’t hit all your
goals. It’s never too late. Just keep doing something
everyday to get you closer to your goals.

Sleep Well

Steve

P.S. You want to feel good about reaching a goal?
Then make this one of them: Get over to
http://www.thesecrettosoundsleep.com/ and pick up the life
changing book “3 Secrets To Sound Sleep”

P.S.S. Congratulations, you are a goal-reaching machine.
Keep setting your goals because in a few weeks when my book
arrives you will be having some of the best nights of sleep in
your life! And you’ll soon be waking up on a completely different foundation.

I Can't Tell a Lie

That's it! I've been busted. It seems that my last email about the naked man and his 3 iron ruffled some feathers. Especially when I spoke about the side effects associated with the current rage..prescription sleeping pills! One customer thinks I was not entirely truthful regarding the side effects...especially my remedy.

But let's get back to the current rage first. Oh yeah it's sweeping the country. All you have to do is turn on the teevee and see all the strange ads running for this American addiction. I ask you what's a mean looking groundhod eating waffles have to do with a sleeping pill?

I'll tell you what it has to do with it. Another side effect of sleeping pills is hallucinations. Honest Abe, the groundhog, and someone straight out of "The Creature from the Black lagoon" in your kitchen is a good sign you are on your sleeping pills too long.

So was I truthful? You be the judge:

"Steve;

The book is great and I've been reading it since it arrived. I must say I think you're on to something here. The principles you teach are practical and can be done by anyone...even more important they work. I've begun sleeping at night without the use of a sleeping pill and I'm waking up very refreshed. For what I was paying in prescription costs, your book is well worth the greenbacks I laid out.

You know, in your email yesterday, you forgot to mention the side effect associated with your methods. They are habit forming!!! I've been doing them every night and I can't stop. The good news is no hallucinations here, or being tired during the day. Nothing but a good night sleep and that can be habit forming!!!

Thanks so much for your help

Stuart P

Blair, NB"

Thanks Stu for the kind words and I'm glad to hear you are getting a good night sleep. You're right, I never thought of the side effects associated with my methods. A good night sleep is habit forming, I like that! Looking forward to speaking with you during the teleseminar in December.

There you have it folks:
"3 Secrets to Sound Sleep" is habit forming, and the only thing that's habit forming is a good night sleep!!

Sleep Well

Steve

P.S.
See what Stuart from Nebraska is talking about and head on over to

The Naked Man and his 3-Iron

I took out the package insert for one of the major sleep aids.
You know that folded up piece of paper that’s over 10 pages
with a font size of 1 that comes with your prescription.
I can’t even be sure that is paper they are printed on.
Quite frankly, I collect them, as they are great to start a
fire in the fireplace when it gets cold here in PA.

Have you ever read some of the stuff on it? Exactly, you
can’t cuz the font is so dang small. Did you ever think that’s
what they want to happen? Well pull out your package
insert from your prescription sleep aid and do some reading.
What you’ll find is amazing.

The one I hold in my hand is from the extremely popular one
I like to call “not so muy bien”. Of it’s top side effects Drowsiness.
I find this interesting, as it’s a sleep aid. If it’s supposed to
make you sleep then why are you drowsy? Is this some kind of
joke?

Here’s a few more quality attributes in no particular order:

Strange behavior
Confusion
Agitation
Hallucinations

Oh that’s comforting. “Honey no need to worry about me I’m
just going to climb up on the roof naked during this lightning
storm with my 3 iron between my teeth because Mr. Franklin
asked me to conduct an experiment…what?…no I’m not taking
my mom with me!!!!”

But the one that gets me the most is
“Sleep medicines should,
in most cases, be used only for short periods of time, such as
1 or 2 days and generally no longer than 1 or 2 weeks.”
This
isn’t the way it is being used and will create a dependency.

Don’t believe me? Read it yourself in the package insert.
‘Sleep medicines can cause dependence, especially when these
medicines are used, regularly for longer than a few weeks or
at high doses. Some people develop a need to continue taking
their medicines. This is known as dependence or addiction."

Ya think?

So the question I always get from your email is: “Steve what
are your thoughts on sleep aids”

I think there is a place for sleep aids when used according to
the package insert. Like when someone is going through a
difficult time possibly from the loss of a loved one and needs
rest. Using them 1 or 2 days.

I also think they negatively impact the Suggestive Principle.
Now we all have this suggestive principle it’s just that most
people don’t know what it is and how to use it. Well I
explain all this in my book “3 Secrets To Sound Sleep”.
Believe me you won’t need the use of sleeping pills when
I get done with you. In fact, I have never used a sleeping
pill in my life! Proof that the “3 Secrets To Sound Sleep” works.

Run on over to
http://www.thesecrettosoundsleep.com/ and get
yourself a copy while there is time. And get that naked guy
with the 3-iron in his mouth off your roof already. The
pre-publication price won’t last long.

Sleep Well

Steve

Asleep in the Dentist's Chair

Just the sheer mention of that word sends shivers down people's spines. Actual both words frighten many people: asleep and dentist and to use both in the same sentence, horrifying.
Yours truly found himself in the dentist chair early this morning getting fitted for a crown. This is no pleasant experience or is it?

First I was prepped by the assistance and then the dentist comes in to discuss the procedure with me. Obviously these guys haven't taken sales 101. The first words out of his mouth were, 'I just want to warn you'

I said 'Yeah'

He went on ' anytime we have a large filling like this that has to come out, we will disrupt the nerve and there isthe possibility that we will need to do a root canal. We won't know if we have to until we fit you with a tempand the Novocain wears off.

I said 'okay'

He looked at me a little strange as I guess he's used topeople jumping out of the seat and plowing his assistantsdown as they made a b line for the door.

Now, let me tell you my brother in law would've been out the door at 'I just want to warn you' I mean here's a grown man who needs the gas for his teeth cleaning...his teeth cleaning!!! You know when they scrape your teeth till your gums bleed and then polish them with what seems like Flavored beach sand.

So the dentist preps the needle and asks me to open wide and says 'here comes the difficult part' like he sold the rest of the procedure as a week in the Caribbean sipping margaritas in my underwear.
I shut my mouth so he couldn't stick me, looked at him and said 'It's all perspective'

Fortunately, for this dentist I came equipped with my Breath Restoration Technique from the '3 Secrets To Sound Sleep' book. I used it to get myself intos uch a relaxed state at one point during the procedure I dozed off. Tis true-asleep in the dentists' chair.

The Breath Restoration Technique can be used to reduce stress or put you in a calming state. It's not just good for sleeping. In fact, this technique is such a universal and valuable tool that my book should be triple its current price. Hmm that gives me an idea.

So the next time you go to the dentist or wherever your travels take you, remember to bring along The Breath Restoration Technique to relieve any anxiety you have. It'll add years to your life.
Of course, you can only find The Breath Restoration technique in my book '3 Secrets To Sound Sleep' and you can only get the book here
http://www.TheSecretToSoundSleep.com/
Sleep Well,

Steve

P.S.
The December teleseminar is filling up even without me telling you what it'll be about. So today I'm ready to reveal the topic; 'The Power of Concentration for Insomniacs'. Prepare to be blown away as I discuss this Classic book and how it relates to your sleep habits.

P.P.S
Did I forget to mention that the December Teleseminar is Free when YOU are one of the first 197 people to buy my book. I don't want you to be the 198th customer and get locked out. Reserve your seat NOW!

Just Keep Swinging

Went to see "Everyone's Hero" this past weekend. No, this is not my attempt to de-throne Roger Ebert and start a new career as a movie critic. But I will say the underlying message from the movie was something we can all learn from.

Let's put aside the fact that the movie was about one of the greatest teams in sports today...The Yankees. I mean for my son and I that alone is worth the price of admission. The movie reminded me of many of life's little sayings that grab us...some of those sayings stay with us while others don't. Like the one " You can't steal second with your foot on first" or my wife's current favorite "All this because two people fell in love". The underlying message in this movie was to just keep swinging.

It doesn't matter if we strike out alot what's important is that we never give up and keep ourselves in the game and just keep swinging. Speaking of keeping ourselves in the game. Did you know that sleep is the time our body heals itself. It's a natural state and just as important to us as the waking period. Head over here to read more about sleep and the impotance it plays in keeping you in the game.

How many of us can look back and see the times we struck out. Did you keep swinging or worse were you called out. In the movie, the young boy (who's name is Yankee) is ridiculed by his "friends" because he wants to play baseball and when given the opportunity to drive in some runs at the local sandlot game, he strikes out. Many of us can understand how the little boy feels, especially when people ridicule or expect you to fail at something.

I touch on this subject in my new book "3 Secrets to Sound Sleep" when I mention a great quote from Theron Dumont. His quote speaks to "brass ones" we all need to do certain things , even though it may be difficult. And in reality its the winners who have the brass ones to step up to the plate as they understand the concept of "just keep swinging"

As I always say "I'd rather go down swinging then getting called out looking"

Sleep Well,

Steve

P.S. Don't get called out looking and sprint on over to my site http://www.TheSecretToSoundSleep.com there you will find my new book "3 Secrets to Sound Sleep" and an offer to attend my Teleseminar "The Power of Concentration for Insomniacs" absolutely FREE when you buy the book. Many have stepped up to the plate thus far. Sadly, even more will be left looking as we are near capacity and I will pull the offer soon.

P.S. For once in you life...take a swing at it...get the book NOW

"It's no wonder the Middle East hates us"

Definitely words that did NOT come out of my mouth. But would you believe they came out of the mouth of Dick Van Dyke. I heard him being interviewed on Howard Stern and he was asked whether he thought comedy has gotten too vulgar. His response, "Yes, It's no wonder the Middle East hates us."

Come on Dick, the Middle East doesn't hate us because George Carlin dropped the F-bomb one too many times. No they hate us because we have become a nation of couch potatoes. It's true, their is an epidemic spreading across this country and pretty soon the new fashion statement will be WIDE LOAD printed on the back of a pair of Daisy Dukes.

We have slowly become a nation of overweight people. People who eat too much, don't exercise, and sleep too little. Believe it now and listen to me later, sleep deprivation plays a significant role in you being fat. Go here and read more about it.

And guess what, we have no one else too blame but ourselves. We live in a high paced society where convenience is key. No one has time to work off the stress of the day.

I say poppycock...if I am still allowed to say that without offending Dick Van Dyke, you are in control of what you eat and how you handle stress , and how much sleep you get. My new book "3 Secrets to Sound Sleep" is proof of that. It discusses my insomnia experience and what I did to overcome it. It teaches you how to handle the stress of your day and what you need to do to that stress before bedtime. It also teaches you some of the best exercises to do before you get your shuteye. Exercises that put you into a greater realxed state. And hey, the last time I checked exercise is good for you. Obviously Dick Van Dyke has been exercising as he is still around and 81 years young.

So it's time to stop blaming someone else. If you need to blame someone then I want you all to go stand in front of the mirror and point a finger at the one person who is to blame. The good news is you are also pointing at the one person who can reach down and pull you out from your troubles. That's right, you are one in the same, and for far too long has the other side been winning.

Start winning NOW!!! Go here and start reading about the effects of sleep deprivation and make a change for the better.

Sleep Well

Steve

P.S.
Make the middle East hate us more. Take charge of your life and begin a journey to a healthier you. And remember, Make sure you start your day off right...with a good night sleep! Go here to read just how to do that and before you know it you'll be standing infront of that mirror and liking what's looking back at you!

No Hugging the Sleeping Panda

Now, I knew that Bamboo made up about 99% of a Panda's diet. I had no idea the other 1% was drunken Chinese migrant workers!!

Gu Gu, the 6 yr old panda at the Beijing Zoo, has been accused of biting a man on Tuesday. As the story goes, this drunken Chinese migrant worker felt the sudden urge to touch the panda with his hand. So he hops the fence and begins hugging the panda, who was sleeping at the time.

Now gentleman, at the risk of getting my lady customers ticked, we've all been here at one time or another. No, I'm not saying that we've all been treated to a hug in the middle of our zzz's from a drunken Chinese migrant worker. No siree, not me. But we've all had the sudden urge to reach over and touch our ladies in the middle of the night. Now sometimes our ladies are not too happy about getting woken up, and I can say that I've never been bitten in this instance. But do you blame them?

Why do you think the panda and the ladies don't like being woken up like that in the middle of the night? Well, the old term beauty rest comes to mind. Not just beauty rest for the ladies...no gentleman we need our beauty rest as well. Now, I do agree with many of the men, I would gladly lose some sleep for sekks. To read more on rest and sleep deprivation go here

And sekks has been shown to be a great stress reducer. Anytime you can reduce your amount of stress before bedtime the better night sleep you have. Chances are Gu Gu the Panda didn't get any before bedtime!

No, this is not a shameless plug to help all the men get a little before bedtime. It is a shameless plug for my website which discusses the epidemic that is sweeping across America...Sleep Deprivation. Go here to read more.

Sleep Well

Steve

P.S. O.K. maybe it was a bit of a shameless plug to get a little more sekks before bedtime. Hey, if its done right both parties involved should benefit from the stress refief. So go here ladies (and gents)to read more!!
